treatments & rates
Naturopathic medicine begins with supporting the body in its ability to heal. By promoting healing through natural therapies and looking at the root cause of illness, rather than only focusing on symptoms, naturopathic medicine is a successful non-invasive way to prevent both acute and chronic illness. Think of it as your gateway to optimal health.

acupuncture
Acupuncture is a technique where very fine needles are inserted into specific points throughout the body. The purpose is to increase energy flow along various channels (meridians), thereby targeting a particular tissue, organ, or organ system. Each meridian point treats specific symptoms and disorders depending on your unique condition. Acupuncture is used to treat the underlying disharmony and focuses on both the root cause and symptoms manifested by the imbalance.
Cupping therapy is another technique often used with acupuncture. This technique is performed with glass or plastic cups which are placed on the skin to create suction and influence the flow of energy and blood, as well as relieve muscle tension/pain.
botanical medicine
Botanical medicine utilizes diverse plant substances from around the world for their powerful healing and nutritional values. The flowers, roots, leaves or oils of a plant may be used, and therapy may take the form of: • Teas • Tinctures • Ointments • Essential Oils • Capsules
clinical nutrition
Food is essential to life. However, the food we choose can make the difference between being well and being sick. Using food as medicine is one of the simplest ways to help heal the body. Applying a Functional Medicine approach can help target certain disease pathways and restore health.
Relational Somatic Therapy (RST)
Relational Somatic Therapy (RST) is a form of counselling that recognizes the Soma (body) as an integral part of healing. It is an integrative approach that includes mind, body, and spirit.
Counselling and lifestyle modifications are important elements in overall health and should be considered when treating illness and disease. Relational Somatic Therapy, in conjunction with other naturopathic therapies, can provide support to those dealing with fertility issues, work-related stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and various chronic health problems.
** Please note that all NDs offer nutritional and lifestyle counseling as part of their treatment plans, however RST is a more in-depth service offered by Dr. Dominika, which focuses on how our physical sensations can be clues to our mental, emotional and spiritual state.
